A European Cultural Cooperation Initiative building the first comparative Roma Cultural Atlas across Europe.

A European Cultural Cooperation Initiative building the first comparative Roma Cultural Atlas across Europe.Roma Cultural Atlas is a long-term transnational cultural and research initiative dedicated to documenting, comparing and presenting Roma intangible cultural heritage across Europe — including traditions, music, crafts, oral history and regional identities. The project connects cultural institutions, researchers and Roma cultural actors to create a structured, authoritative and accessible European reference platform.

ABOUT THE PROJECTRoma culture remains under-documented and fragmented across national contexts.
Despite its profound contribution to European cultural heritage, there is currently no unified comparative European cultural reference dedicated to Roma traditions and regional diversity.
Roma Cultural Atlas aims to fill this gap.The initiative will develop:• A printed multilingual Cultural Atlas & Encyclopedia
• A digital interactive European cultural map
• An open audiovisual heritage archive
• Educational resources for schools and universities
• Public exhibitions and cultural presentations in partner countries
The project aligns with European priorities on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and digital access to culture.
